St. Edmund's Court

St. Edmund's Court (Court) was a vacant courtyard apartment building acquired through the city of Chicago's Neighborhood Stabilization Program (NSP).  Court consists of 36 units, 24 2-bedroom units and 12 4-bedroom units. Amenities include Energy Star Appliances, including a dish-washer, central air, on-site laundry facilities, mini-blinds, and a play lot.

St. Edmund's Oasis

St. Edmund’s Oasis consists of 58 newly constructed rental apartment and townhouse units built on three scattered sites on 61st Street on Indiana, and Prairie Avenues in the Washington Park community.  Oasis has 1-, 2-, 3- and 4-bedroom units. 

 

Oasis is an Energy Star rated development. In addition to Energy Star rated appliances, amenities include ceiling fans, central air, dishwashers, in-unit washer and dryers, and mini-blinds combined with functional spacious floor plans, off-street parking and play lots. One-hundred percent (100%) of the units are affordable for working families earning less than 60% of the area median income (approximately $54,600 for a family of four). The units are arranged in two designs: flats containing one, two or four-bedroom units on the ground floor with two three-bedroom duplex townhomes over them, and a six-flat apartment building.

St. Edmund's Commons, SERC's first new construction multi-family development was a 53-unit townhouse style development.  Commons is comprised of either a 3- or 4-bedroom flat on the ground floor with two duplex 3-bedroom units above.  Amenities include ceiling fans, central air, dishwashers, in-unit laundry machines and off-street parking.  Commons has affordable and market-rate units.

St. Edmund's Meadows is a 56-unit development comprised 3- and 4-bedroom townhouses and garden style walk-up apartments.  Amenities include central air, in-unit washer and dryers, off-street parking and play areas.  SERC acquired the buildings from the Chicago Housing Authority and rehabilitated the units to preserve affordable housing and create a viable mixed-income community.

St. Edmund's Manor is a 31-unit garden style apartment complex with 1-, 2- and 3-bedroom units that SERC acquired and rehabilitated.  Amenities include on-site laundry facilities, off street parking and heat.  Manor has both affordable and market units.

St. Edmund's Place and Square

St. Edmund's Place, SERC's first development initiative, was the acquisition and rehabilitation of a vacant 16-unit apartment building.  Place is a garden style walk-up with 1-, 2- and 3-bedroom units, and a large rear yard.  It is reserved for households earning less than 80% of AMI.

SERC acquired two vacant buildings totaling 17 units for its second development, St. Edmund’s Square.  The development is affordable for families earning less than 80% of AMI.  Square has quaint spacious 1-, 2- and 3-bedroom garden apartments with either  enclosed sun porches or exterior front balconies.
